I am a wife and mother of two adorable children.  A freelance writer since 1999, I currently live and work in Australia. My love affair with romance novels started when I was very young (see post: The Beginning of the Love Affair). The name of the blog says it all. I am a HUGE fan of romance novels. I go through about 3-4 full length novels a week and think that e-readers are the best things EVER for no other reason other than being able to store more than 400 books in one little package! I have a sentimental fondness for “real” books (nothing beats that new book smell) but have to admit that my house just isn’t big enough to keep up with the storage space needed. I’ll read all sub-genres but am going through a contemporary and paranormal/fantasy phase at the moment.

I started this blog to have a place I could talk about novels I loved, some that I hated and all things romance books. A couple of good romance novel review sites helped me find some of my absolute favourite authors and I hope to be able to do the same.

As a wannabe novelist myself I will try to write mostly positive reviews as I know how much work goes into writing a book and because really, at the end of a bad book I’m already annoyed at how much time I wasted on it, I don’t think I’ll want to waste any more time writing about it! I will have a “Rantypants” section though just to cover some of the things that really bug me, because as much as I love these books, the badly written ones are just so much fodder for humorous articles, because really, who doesn’t want to read about shape shifting time travelling monkeys?:)

I hope you enjoy this site. Please let me know what /who your favourite books and authors are. There’s nothing better than discovering a good author.. unless it’s discovering that new author has an EXTENSIVE backlist that you haven’t read yet.
